The Cisco IP Communications certifications certify that a successful student has learnt the knowledge need to design, install, and support a multi-service network solution. The successful certified student will have knowledge of designing, installing, and supporting a multi-service network solution. These are all fields in the Service Provider and Enterprise environments.

The Cisco IP Communications certifications is generally available only to students who have success fully acquired the Cisco CCDA, CCNP, or CSE certification.

Cisco Advanced IP Communications Sales Specialist, which the successful student will achieve by passing the Cisco 646-229 IPCAAM exam

Cisco IP Telephony Support Specialist, which the successful student will achieve by passing the Cisco 642-444 CIPT, the Cisco 642-432 CVOICE, and the Cisco 642-642 QOS exams
Cisco Rich Media Communications Specialist, which the successful student will achieve by passing the Cisco 642-481 CRMC and the Cisco 642-432 CVOICE exams
Cisco Unity Design Specialist, which the successful student will achieve by passing the Cisco 642-071 CUDN exam
Cisco Unity Support Specialist, which the successful student will achieve by passing the Cisco 642-104 UCSE exam
Cisco IP Communications Certification Recertification:
A successful Cisco IP Communications student will hold their certification for two years only, after which the Cisco IP Communications student must re-validate their certification by retaking and passing the Cisco IP Communications exam(s) or taking and passing the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert written exam.
